The Best Accessories for an AR Shotgun

If you were looking for a way to accessories your AR Shotgun like I was then you landed at the right place. After purchasing a GForce GF12AR shotgun I wondered what I could do to it. A lot like a normal AR rifle the possibilities are endless really. I want to break down the possibilities into a couple categories.

1. Capacity

Capacity is simply that, more ammo. Purchasing a 1919 magazine that holds more ammo makes for more fun on the range. I added a 10 round magazine from GForce Arms.

2. Optics

While AR Shotguns are not designed for long range they do have the ability to reach out farther than you think. Also shooting a slug begs the question of, Do I need a scope? I think the perfect optic for an AR Shotgun no matter what ammo you are using is a red dot like a Burris FastFire 3 or 4. It works well at any range and enhances site acquisition.

3. Light/Lazers

An AR shotgun is a great option for home defense and since most bad things bump in the night lights and lasers are essential. Most AR shotguns have a picatinny rail system that allow for easy mounting of any light or laser. The one thing I focused on was a high power adjustable flashlight. The Fenix I decided on comes with a tactical mount and a pressure switch. It’s perfect for that home defense situations.

4. Slings

On the range or in the house a sling is a great way to add some functionality to your AR shotgun. There are a lot of options in slings. There are 2 point slings like the GForce Ammo Sling or a single point sling like this GrovTec single point bungee sling.
