How to Add a Magazine Extension Tube to Your Shotgun

In this video I walk through the steps of adding a Magazine extension to a shotgun.

The specific shotgun I am adding a magazine extension to is the GForce Arms GF1W 12 Gauge. This method will work with almost any other shotgun model. Some models will be easier than others but some models it might not be even possible. The magazine kit I had to select is the Benelli/Nova Kit from Carlson’s. Below are the steps in the full process:

1. Disassemble the shotgun Forend & Magazine Cap
2. Take out the Plug and Spring
3. Remove the Shell Stopper from the Magazine Tube
4. Check and Make Sure you have the Correct Kit for your Shotgun
5. Sand Down any Burs on the Inside of the Mag Tube
6. Place the New Carlson’s Shell Stopped in the Tube
7. Put the new spring in the Magazine Tube
8. Replace the Forend
9. Screw on the Magazine Extension Tube
