Testing the Palmetto State Armory Gen 3 PA65 – 6.5 Creedmoor

After testing the PSA AR15 10.5 inch short barreled rifle and the video doing really well I knew that I need to do another testing video on a Palmetto State Armory complete rifle. I didn’t want to do another AR15 so I elected to go with a Gen 3 PA65. Essentially this rifle is an AR10 chambered in 6.5 creedmoor. I love this caliber and it is quickly taking the market over as the choice for long range rifle enthusiasts. Below is a look at the firearm.

TESTING

When I test a rifle or any gun for that matter I always want to put the gun through real world scenarios. Here are the 3 different tests that I put the PSA Gen 3 PA65 through.

  1. Accuracy Test
  2. Two Box Torture Test
  3. Visual Test

The first test is the accuracy test. This test is comprised of sighting in the rifle and then shooting a 100 yard 3 shot group to see how close the shots are. On this rifle I was fortunate to have a Blackhound Evolve series 3-18×50 scope. It came with rings so it was perfect for the test.

The second test is the “Two Box Torture Test”. When I test a rifle I honestly can not afford to just run 100s of rounds though it so I came up with the idea to do the two box test. Two boxes is a total of 40 rounds and I feel that this can give a good representation of someone going to the range to practice for a day.

The third test is my first impression of the rifle. How does the rifle look? How does it function and some key features about it that I like. I want to give anyone looking at this firearm a look at it and help them make a buying decision or not. Take a look at the video below to see how this rifle scored and the things that I like about it.
